We always try to provide the public with the best service possible. Signs are posted in the office, guiding you to your desired location. Our friendly information desk staff will also be happy to assist you. For handicapped people we have installed wheelchair access ramps, service bells, wheelchair friendly washrooms and elevators, tactile guide paths (for the blind), as well as dedicated handicap parking spaces. Baby carriages and umbrella racks are also provided for your convenience. All information desks are clearly sign posted. In the rest areas we freely provide newspapers, magazines, glasses, TV, and drinking water. There is stationary for your personal use and all application forms are available. We trust you will find the office's environment warm and friendly.
In order to help better serve the public we have endeavored to streamline the application processes. You are able to contact us in a variety of ways, such as telephone, e-mail, and fax. We now store records for land registration and maps on our computer systems. This will enable you to access all of our records without leaving the city; you can gain registration and map information on areas in Taipei without actually having to go there. A single member of our staff can now deal with all of your needs, this will save you time as you no longer have to walk to separate offices to fulfill your enquiry. Our automated broadcasting system will guide you to where you can pick up your documents. We have a separate counter that deals solely with simple registration cases. Customers can print out their application forms themselves during office hours and complete the process within an hour. Fees can be paid using IC cards. To extend our area of service we have established an information center in the Hsitun district. All services are clearly outlined in our pamphlet. We welcome any form of public opinion via mail, e-mail, and the director's mailbox. We also have questionnaires so you can help us improve our service. The office has managed to maintain a 90% satisfaction rate with customers. As a result of our efforts we received the ISO 9002 certificate in Nov. 1999.
